GR100 Gel Sticks

DESCRIPTION

GR-100 Gel Sticks contain 100% active high foaming surfactant capable of foaming in all levels of brine. They are primarily used in well applications to lighten standing columns of water. The surfactant gel is encased in a quickly dissolved, water soluble tube.

PURPOSE OF GEL STICKS

Foamers are often referred to as soap; however, the more appropriate name is surfactant, which is a shortened term meaning surface active agent. Surfactants work at the interfaces between air and water to lower the surface tension. By lowering the surface tension, the surfactant holds air bubbles in a ring of water, therefore lightening the waters weight, and enabling the pressures to effectively move the column of water. It takes a special type of surfactant to work in both brine, and in the presence of hydrocarbons.

APPLICATION

GR100 Gel Sticks are highly concentrated and should be used accordingly. One stick per 1000 ft, of 2 3/8″ tubing will sufficiently foam in the toughest applications.
