AC1 EBF Drilling Foamer

DESCRIPTION

AC 1 EBF is a blend of different, complex, linear, alcohol-ether sulfates without butyl cellosolve that functions as a fresh water foamer and tolerates salt concentrations up to 12 percent as well as small amounts of oil contamination. AC 1 EBF is manufactured to provide ultimate fresh water performance.  Surfactants work at the interfaces between air and water to lower the surface tension.

APPLICATIONS

• AC 1 EBF is an ultra foaming, fresh water, airdrilling surfactant utilized in under balanced drilling applications to generate a foam drilling fluid that tolerates salt to 12 percent and a small of amount oil.

• Utilized to lower the surface tension of a fluid thus reducing the hydrostatic head allowing the wells pressure to effectively move the column of brine from the well

USAGE

• AC 1 EBF should be added to the water in the liquid injector tank downstream of the compressors and booster. Dosage rates are best determined from field tests. An optimum concentration for a specific field should be the goal.

• Pilot testing for foam height and foam half life should be determined utilizing the field make-up water prior to application.

ADVANTAGES

• No harmful solvents such as ethylene glycol monobutyl ether

• Highly effective fresh water foaming agent

• Tolerates salt concentrations up to 12%

• High flash point

• Highly biodegradable

• No hazardous labeling or shipping requirements
